The Z'Anorak

The essential

Our take on a raincoat for dogs.
Protects against rain, snow and dirt almost all year round!

Recommended for walks on a leash or when heeling.
Less recommended for "catchy" activities such as free hikes in bushes and visits to the dog park which risk damaging the coat.

Raincoat

Waterproof and breathable shell protects against snow, rain, dirt almost all year round.

No lining. Perfect for dogs that don't crave heat.

Adjustable sleeves

In order to serve a larger number of dogs, our Z'Anorak can be worn in two sleeve sizes.

Head-to-paw protection

The "snood" type collar with adjustable elastic cord covers the ears for complete protection.

Two versions, “Classic” and “Light”

What is the difference?
In stores, customers barely see the difference.
We just got our hands on another batch of fabric that was similar to the classic but came in other interesting colors.

The fabric of the light version has a lighter/compact appearance like a "K-Way" style summer windbreaker while the Z'Anorak is more like a ski coat shell.

Both versions offer the same protection.

Z'Anorak Classic

Fabric similar to ski coat shells

Z'Anorak Light

Lighter/compact fabric similar to a “K-Way” style summer windbreaker

HOW TO

Choose the right size - Z'Anorak

Follow the steps below to determine the correct size.

Check if our coats are suitable for your dog

Our coats are not suitable for all breeds

Breeds of the type, with shorter legs, strong chest, very short neck such as French Bulldog, Dachshund, Shitzhu, etc. do not have proportions that suit our coats.

We advise waiting at least 10 months for large breeds

I know… it “sucks” but it’s less than having a coat that will not stay in place.

Measure your dog

Sleeve length

Measure from the top of the foot across the withers to the top of the other foot

Divide the measurement obtained by 2.

Chest size

Measure the circumference of the chest at its fullest part. Place the tape close to the body without taking into account the length of the hair. Do not tighten but do not leave any looseness either.

Important: Choose a size that is at least 4 cm larger than the measurement obtained

back length

Measure from base of tail raised going up to the withers
(aligned with the back of the front leg)

Important: This measurement should not change depending on the position of your dog’s head.

This model is worn in two sleeve lengths: (S)tandards And (F)olded

STEP 1 - Mark the sleeve length.   The sleeves of this model can be worn in two lengths: (S)tandard or (F)olded. Choose the size with a sleeve length closest to that of your dog. Generally doodles wear the sleeves (F)olded if they have more “Golden” genetics. Poodles (or doodles more “poodle”), on the other hand, generally wear the (S)tandard sleeve.  Keep in mind that the thickness of your dog's coat will impact how high the sleeves sit but should not determine the size.

STEP 2 - Check the chest. Check if the chest size chosen in step 1 is at least 4 cm larger than your dog's chest measurement for ease. Note that the chart measurement represents the coat measurement.

If it's not the case, locate the larger size whose chest is at least 4 cm larger than your dog's chest measurement for ease. Now compare the sleeve length (S) or (F) with the sleeve measurement you measured. The difference represents how much the sleeves will be too short or too long.

STEP 3 - Confirm the size with the back.   Measuring the back is often difficult to take and can sometimes be misleading. This should not change depending on the position of your dog's head. A good point of reference for the position of the withers is that it aligns with back of the front paw.

A good way to validate is to take the measurement of the back of the chart on your dog from the tail. If you arrive more or less in line with the back of the front leg or a little higher, that's a good indicator that the size is right.

Note: If after these steps you are not able to identify a size, it is possible that your dog has proportions that do not fit our current models. Particularly if you have a dog that does not have a size suitable for our models. See step 1a

To help you, as a general rule (there are always exceptions), a doodle or poodle:

38-43lbs will probably be a Z'Anorak - size 4
43-49lbs will probably be a Z'Anorak - size 5
50-55lbs will not wear the Z'Anorak - size 5 but probably more a size 6
from 60-65lbs will be in size 6 and 7 for the Z'Anorak
of 65-75lbs will be between size 7 and 8 for the Z'Anorak

What if you get the wrong size?
